The ECOnomy
motor catamaran is a slightly changed ECO. On the inside nothing
is changed. The cockpit of this version has a size of 1,45m x 2 m. With
its big size normal deck chairs can be used. With a cockpit cover two
more can sleep on the boat.
Because of its easy driven hulls the boat will travel at about 12 kn with the two 5 HP outboard engines. With four cycle outboards the consumption of petrol will be around 2 l. The boat has a double bunk, but the cockpit is big enough to sleep 2 more persons. For construction and list of materials see ECOnomy cruiser drawings. The difference is that you need no rig, rudders and dagger board. With the low weight of about 325 kg including engines the boat can be towed behind a relative small car.
